Learn how to properly prepare different metals—steel, aluminium, and cast iron—for the re-etching process.
Gain firsthand experience in re-etching VINs on various metals, including steel, aluminium, and cast iron.
Develop a thorough understanding of the health and safety protocols that must be followed before, during, and after the re-etching process.
Learn how to set up a camera in manual mode to effectively photograph recovered identification numbers for documentation and evidence.
Master the technique of accurately casting a suspect VIN number using Isomark and learn how to properly document the evidence.
Understand how to correctly document chemical or thermal restorations in legal statements, including considerations related to Public Interest Immunity (PII) issues.
This 2-day course offers a blend of theory and practical sessions. Participants are required to complete a workbook during the course and will take a multiple-choice examination at the end to assess their knowledge.
